In Muslim Weddings the men and women sit in separate rooms or a curtain is placed between them. The elder members of both the families decide on the amount which the groom's side will pay to the bride's side (meher). The bride and groom give their consent when the nikaahnama (a document where the marriage will be registered) is read by the maulvi(priest). Then the priest read texts from the Quran. After these,the groom and two witnesses sign the document and then the bride.
Buddhist Wedding Ceremony follows a simple ritual. It is based on faith and not religion. The main element of the wedding is commitment of the bride and groom. The wedding is held at the bride's house. A Buddhist lama takes care of the rituals. The groom's family demands an amount for the milk from the bride's mother.
